Description

School assignment - human head model using photo references (you can see the references here [link])

Modeled and rendered in Maxon's Cinema 4D R13.

Still work in progress, texture mapping is next in order.

I'm looking for critiques and comments, want to know what do you think and what's there to improve. Thanks for viewing.

OK, since you have asked to leave comments or critiques, I want to give you some tips.
Speaking about big masses, I suggest:
- Give more volume to his cranium mass (especially to the back part of his skull). When looking from the top, the shape of the head can be described as an egg
- Make his mandible (lower jaw) more defined. Make his chin to project more forward.
- There is also too many volume on the sides of his forehead. The whole forehead is quite curved (meaning from side to side) and consist from a three distinct planes
About more fine details
- Nose looks a bit blobby (assume because a poor edge flow). Google some images of the actual nose structure and it's cartilages - this will give you a better idea about proper topology solution
- I will also give more curvature to his mouth. here it appears a bit flat
- Also you forget about folds around the eyes where the eyelids attaches.
